It seems I hadn’t actually completed this previously. I thought I had, but it seems I’d only reached level 60-something. Obviously, I then had to do something about that! So I did, and lo, I completed it. Level 87 seemed to be the hardest one in the whole game (I died completely there several times), with 89 being mercifully easy (I didn’t have any spare bombs or lives at that point). What aceness. I have no idea why I decided to play this tonight, but I did. Started out on Yellow Belt difficulty, and Level 1, and just played. I’d forgotten just how good Mutant Storm is, you know. It’s great. But I soon died too many times and so stopped. Highest score today? 600,000. Rubbish.
Started again from Level 1, only this time on Yellow Belt difficulty. Managed to get the 4x Multiplier achievement, and also improved my score to well over 15,000,000 points (putting me up by about 5 places on my friends list). Got the difficulty up to 198% too, but then died. I need 200% for the next belt, you see. Bah.
And I also bought this with some of my excess points. It’s abit like Geometry Wars, only more level-based. It is also about 986675325 times easier. I got up to Level 28, without dying, and unlocking two achievements in the process, and then gave up as it was bed time.
My Wii U arrived! So I spent most of the weekend playing it and the games I got with it. Nintendo Land It’s not a minigame collection. No matter who tells you it is, it isn’t. It’s a collection, sure, but some of the games are full, proper games. Take the Pikmin Adventure game. It’s Pikmin. Sure, it’s not got all the item collecting and night-time save-all-the-pikmin bits, but it’s a complete and reasonably long “campaign”. Single player only game …

I jumped between them quite a bit, so I’m lumping them all together here. I played Frogger a bit more, and got another achievement, but didn’t improve my score. I played Uno a lot and got a few achievements there (and actually won an online game), and also played Mutant Storm Reloaded and improved my score, but didn’t get any more achievements.
